The Loss Foundation Cancer Bereavement Support Group
The Loss Foundation is a specialist UK cancer-bereavement charity supporting adults who have lost someone they love to cancer. Its main purpose is to reduce the isolation associated with bereavement by connecting people with others who have experienced a similar loss. It offers: Free online peer-support groups focused on different types and stages of cancer loss, such as partner loss, parent loss and the first year of bereavement. Connect, a 1-to-1 peer-support/buddy service matching people with someone who has experienced a similar loss. Online grief workshops covering issues such as trauma, anxiety, guilt and sleep. A 12-week online bereavement therapy programme led by qualified psychologists. In-person Walk & Talk meet-ups across the UK. Retreats and day events providing peer connection, mindfulness and other wellbeing activities. Free digital grief resources, including worksheets, videos, meditation and self-help tools. Training and courses for people and organisations wanting to develop their understanding of bereavement support. Volunteering opportunities supporting the delivery of its services.
