Amputation Foundation

Free

The Amputation Foundation is a unique charity founded by amputees to help civilian and veteran service users confidently transition into life after limb loss. Grounded in direct, empathetic personal experience, the charity matches amputees with trained peer mentors who share similar backgrounds (taking into account age, level of amputation, and location). Alongside peer mentorship, the foundation delivers practical prosthetic workshops, monthly social support groups via regional hubs, and vital guidance on retraining, benefit entitlement, and legal affairs to help individuals regain their independence.
