West Midlands Amputee Support Group

Free

The West Midlands Amputee Support Group (operating via Amputee Support) is a regional, community-led support network founded by a fellow amputee to address the gap in localized peer support. Based at a fully accessible hub, the service offers twice-weekly social meetings, physical activity sessions (such as fall prevention and adaptive exercise), and regular group outings and holidays to foster a sense of belonging. The group provides practical guidance on navigating life post-amputation—including home adaptation support, benefit advice, and signposting—to help amputees, their carers, and their families rebuild confidence and live fulfilling lives.
