Self Injury Support (SIFT)

Free

Sift is a specialist national mental health charity celebrating over 40 years of delivering dedicated self-harm support. The organization bridges the gap between intense personal emotional distress and the clinical systems that often feel exposing or difficult to access. They offer a completely confidential, anonymous space to explore thoughts, trauma, and feelings without fear of forced intervention or judgment. Sift operates through multi-channel remote networks, offering telephone helplines, text message support lines, and email care systems. Alongside their frontline crisis communication channels, they provide a 1:1 Peer Support program for people looking to build long-term safety habits with individuals who have personal, lived experience with self-harm. Sift also works to dismantle public stigma by offering specialized co-produced training for healthcare workers, educators, and community groups.
