Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team
Free
The Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) is a specialist, multi-disciplinary NHS service run by the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. It is designed to stabilize individuals aged 18 and over who are going through an acute mental health crisis that would otherwise require them to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Operating 24/7, the service provides rapid clinical assessments and intensive psychiatric treatment. Rather than placing patients in a clinical ward, a team of mental health nurses, psychiatrists, and social workers deliver regular, frequent care visits directly inside the patient's own home. This allows individuals to recover safely within their familiar home environment and close to their personal support networks. The team also supports psychiatric wards by facilitating early discharge, providing continuing home treatment for patients transitioning back into the community.
