Bipolar UK Support Groups
Free
The Bipolar UK Support Group network is a national peer-led service designed to give people affected by bipolar disorder a safe, confidential space to connect. Facilitated by trained volunteers who often have lived experience themselves, these groups bridge the gap between clinical psychiatric treatment and everyday social isolation. Attendees—including individuals with a diagnosis, those seeking answers, and their families or carers—can share personal stories, discuss medication side effects, and trade self-management tips for recognizing early warning signs of mania or depression. The network includes localized, face-to-face meetings as well as specialized, identity-specific national online groups (such as dedicated groups for men, women, and family/friends).
