Doorway
Free
Doorway provides early-intervention housing, advice, and comprehensive welfare support to vulnerable young people aged 16 to 25 who are rough sleeping, securely displaced, or threatened with immediate homelessness. Operating a central drop-in center, the charity gives young people a safe environment where they can address immediate crises through basic needs assistance while mapping out long-term steps toward stability. Their pathway model delivers localized "Floating Support" to prevent people from losing existing tenancies, combined with "New Homes Workshops" that teach critical lifecycle behaviors such as managing a household budget, understanding lease agreements, and domestic upkeep. Furthermore, the organization actively collaborates with health practitioners to offer physical wellness, sexual health advice, and emotional support to help marginalized youth transition seamlessly into sustainable independent living.
