Money Skills APP
Free
The MoneySkills App was developed by academic researchers at Coventry University's Centre for Business in Society (CBiS) alongside the Open University, housing associations, and credit unions. Built on materials originally tested via the Money Advice Service's "What Works Fund," the app delivers evidence-based digital tools directly to users' smart devices. It is designed to help individuals construct simple budgets, track spending categories (from fixed housing bills to leisure), and establish clear personal savings goals. Rather than providing direct cash aid or human case management, the service functions as a self-guided educational platform that fosters small, sustainable lifestyle shifts to help people build greater financial independence and behavioral resilience against economic hardships.
