The WPH Charitable Trust is an established, independent grant-giving foundation created in 1994 using the capital funds generated from the sale of the former Warwickshire Private Hospital. Warwickshire County Council Rather than treating patients directly, the Trust operates as a financial umbrella to improve regional healthcare. They accept grant applications from two distinct streams: Grants for Individuals: They step in to pay for vital medical and lifestyle extras that fall outside the standard remit of NHS funding. This includes purchasing specialist medical equipment, funding home refurbishment/construction for accessibility, or sourcing tailored mobility aids. Note: Applications from individuals must be accompanied by a supporting letter from a relevant professional (like a doctor or social worker) alongside two formal price quotes. Warwickshire County Council Grants for Organizations: They provide heavy-duty financial support to local registered healthcare charities, medical research projects, academic sponsorships, and hospices (such as Myton Hamlet Hospice and The Shakespeare Hospice) to fund new buildings, equipment, or nursing staff.
