Age UK Money Management Service
Free
The Money Management and Financial Support Service is an essential program run by Age UK Coventry & Warwickshire designed to protect and maximize the income of vulnerable adults. The service provides three tiers of intensive, localised help: Appointeeship Services: For individuals who have been professionally assessed as lacking the mental capacity to manage their own financial affairs. Age UK is legally appointed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to safely receive their welfare benefits and pay their household bills on their behalf. Financial Literacy Programs: Short-term, tailored coaching to help individuals understand their income, track their outgoing expenses, and build practical daily budgeting skills. Pre-Appointeeship Care: Ongoing budgeting and financial safety mentoring explicitly designed to keep individuals independent and prevent the need for legal, third-party money intervention.
