The Sahil Project is a dedicated, grassroots voluntary organization and registered charity established to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of the South Asian community (aged 18 and over). Originally founded in 1986 to help Asian women experiencing severe stress, depression, and cultural isolation, the charity has evolved to provide separate, tailored outreach networks and in-house resources for both South Asian men and women. Their services include safe-space counseling, drop-in advice centers, holistic therapies (like yoga, meditation, and music therapy), and gentle, chair-based fitness classes designed to alleviate anxiety and build personal resilience.
