George Eliot Hospital (GEH) Colorectal Support Group
Free
The Colorectal Support Group is a hospital-linked peer network managed alongside Specialist Colorectal Nurses and the hospital's Macmillan Cancer Information Centre. It provides an informal, compassionate space where patients living with or recovering from colorectal cancer can gather. Rather than just clinical appointments, the group focuses on holistic recovery. Members swap practical tips on stoma care, diet, and lifestyle adjustments, while sharing their personal progress. It ensures that patients transitioning from active hospital treatment back to daily life at home don't feel abandoned or left to figure out their recovery alone.
