Compassion in Dying
Free
Compassion in Dying is a national charity dedicated to helping people be in control of their end-of-life treatment and care. Instead of acting as a physical hospice that provides medical care or an organization that campaigns to change the law (which is handled by their sister organization, Dignity in Dying), they focus entirely on legal preparation and patient empowerment. They guide people on how to start honest conversations about dying with their loved ones, explain the legalities of refusing treatments, and help individuals put legally binding documentation in place so their families aren't forced to make agonizing healthcare decisions for them later.
