Hourglass is the UK’s only national charity dedicated to ending the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older people, often referred to as “elder abuse”. It works across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland to support older adults at risk and to improve safeguarding responses. (wearehourglass.org) It provides a combination of direct support services, advocacy, policy work, and prevention campaigns, with a strong focus on making “safer ageing” a national priority.
